Peel Common Showroom in Fareham is a busy, customer-focused used car dealership. We pride ourselves on providing quality vehicles and excellent service. We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to join our team, primarily focusing on
MOTs, repairs, and servicing
.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out MOT inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT testing
Perform routine servicing and maintenance on a range of vehicles
Diagnose and repair vehicle faults using diagnostic tools and software
Conduct safety and quality checks to ensure vehicles meet standards before delivery
Drive vehicles to and from the MOT station when required
Assist with general vehicle preparation for sales and auctions
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
Record work accurately and provide reports on repairs and servicing
Requirements
Relevant automotive qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred)
Experience in MOTs, repairs, and vehicle servicing
Confident using diagnostic tools and software
Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, engines, brakes, and electronics
Full UK driving licence
Professional, reliable, and team-oriented
Ability to work efficiently on a variety of vehicles and tasks
