We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. Duties
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
Diagnose faults and perform repairs using appropriate hand and power tools
Overhaul, adjust, and calibrate mechanical components to meet operational standards
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs undertaken
Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery as required
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance procedures and efficiency
Qualifications
Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role with a strong mechanical knowledge base
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively and safely
Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical maintenance are desirable but not essential
A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory
