We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Duties
Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals
Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other vehicle components
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out assembly and disassembly tasks
Read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics accurately for precise repairs
Carry out welding and equipment repair tasks as required to restore vehicle integrity
Assist with the installation of new parts and systems, ensuring proper fitment and functionality
Perform heavy lifting of vehicle components safely during repair procedures
Maintain detailed records of all work carried out for each vehicle
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and professionally
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively
Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently
Knowledge of vehicle assembly processes and maintenance procedures
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during repair operations
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills to interact with team members and customers effectively
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
