We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Duties
Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and other vehicle systems
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out assembly, disassembly, and repair tasks
Read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs
Carry out welding and fabrication work as required for structural repairs or modifications
Maintain detailed records of work performed for each vehicle
Assist with vehicle diagnostics using electronic testing devices and equipment repair techniques
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures and maintenance needs clearly
Requirements
Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role with strong mechanical knowledge
Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other workshop machinery
Knowledge of vehicle assembly processes and maintenance procedures
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling parts or equipment
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues accurately
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology or mechanical engineering are preferred
