D J Simpson Engineering Ltd is a small, busy, family-run garage situated in the small village of Westbury-sub-Mendip. We look after modern cars as well as classics, from E-Type Jags to Morris Minors!

Due to continued growth, we have a new opportunity for someone to join our friendly laid back team.

Job description

The successful candidate will be required to:

Undertake all levels of car repairs as well as servicing and diagnostics Be capable of following the repair process from fault analysis to completion, as well as road testing vehicles Be fully-qualified to level 2/3 in Light Vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance & Repair or have equivalent time served experience Have a proven track record of quality workmanship and possess good electrical diagnostic skills Show a good understanding of computer skills, as tablets are used on a daily basis (we have a really good management system that requires you to clock on and off of jobs)
The chosen candidate will be:

Enthusiastic, reliable and trustworthy Have a sense of humour (because seriously, you're going to need it) Genuinely interested and have a passion for vehicles, mechanics and safety Experienced in a professional workshop environment At least some experience with classic car maintenance (because the owner is getting really tired of being the only one)
An MOT license would be beneficial.
