We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with various hand and power tools. This role involves performing maintenance, repairs, and installations of equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety standards are met.
Duties
Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper operation.
Carry out MOT testing on class 1,4 and 7
Diagnose issues and perform repairs on mechanical systems.
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks.
Assist in the installation of new equipment as required.
Perform heavy lifting as necessary to move or install equipment.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Document all service activities accurately for record-keeping purposes.
Experience
Proven mechanical knowledge is essential for success in this role.
Experience with hand tools and power tools is required.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Previous experience in a similar position is advantageous but not mandatory.
A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills will be highly valued.
Must hold valid MOT tester certificate
Must also be willing to learn MET as on going training.
