We are looking for a flexible and motivated graduate with a genuine passion for learning and professional growth, to apply for this role you will anticipate achieving a 2:1 or above in a degree relative to mechanical engineering (BEng) or a post graduate qualification (MSc) and must have a strong interest in the Water sector.

We are looking for a graduate with the following characteristics:

• Methodical approach to problem solving.
• Ability to use your initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail, and be able to demonstrate accurate technical drawings and good report writing

Mott MacDonald Bentley is offering a great opportunity for a talented Graduate Mechanical Engineer with an interest in design and construction in the South Wales area, being required to work from the Newport office. Working for Mott MacDonald Bentley, you will gain experience working on major water and wastewater schemes throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, from feasibility to construction and commissioning.

The role will provide you with opportunities to train, grow and progress in a direction that suits your own skillset and interests.

What you\'ll do:

• Prepare outline and detailed mechanical engineering designs and calculations.
• Produce technical and commercial specifications, drawings and schedules
• Working closely and collaboratively with the commercial and construction teams to develop efficient, practical and safe solutions throughout design stages, construction and beyond.
• Preparation of documents, reports and health and safety risk assessments
• You will positively engage with the Client, managing relationships and adopting a One-Team approach to support them in achieving their aims.

Mott MacDonald Bentley offers fully integrated design and build services to its clients, combining the contracting expertise of JN Bentley and the design specialisms of Mott MacDonald.

This role is employed by Mott MacDonald but will involve working across the joint venture business, both with Mott MacDonald and JN Bentley colleagues.
