This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at McLaren Plastics, a company that produces a wide range of products for various industries using the process of injection moulding.
We have a position available on our Monday to Friday dayshift. Hours are 8.00am to 4.30pm.
The primary role will be the preparation of moulds and bolsters for production ensuring moulds are ready to meet with production demands. The successful candidate will have experience and skills using both CNC and manual equipment including: lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, hand fitting work and spark erosion equipment. Knowledge of injection moulding tool assembly and bench work would be beneficial.
Responsibilities would include (but not limited to) :-
Maintain, lubricate, check and store moulds after production runs.
Fit inserts into the appropriate bolster for daily production requirements.
Fault-find issues with mould tools.
Repair moulds where required.
Assist with tool manufacturing and modifications.
Work with production team on new products and tooling design.
To work as part of a team with the ability to innovate as required.
Salary will vary depending on experience and skill level.
