Move Manager

Matthew James are looking to recruit an additional Move Manager to join their successful team based in Dartford, Kent. We are an industry leader in the relocation business, specialising in both European, as well as International moves whilst still offering a domestic service to our extensive individual client base. We have authorisation to operate an HMRC Customs Bonded Warehouse at our Dartford premises, meaning that we can offer this service to clients which in turn opens up more opportunities for our teams. We undertake 99% of the work in-house, with our own crews completely all work on European soil and trusted partners completing our jobs overseas.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in the removals industry. The role will consist of the day to day sales and management of our clients' relocations throughout Europe and worldwide from the initial enquiry through to the completion of their move. You'll be picking up warm leads from our own website and from recommendations/referrals, with no telesales involved.

Duties include:

Representing the company as the first point of contact for all telephone calls

Discussing and understanding the client's removal requirements

Recommending the type of removal which best suits the client's needs

Understanding of removal vehicles and access requirements

Explaining and selling various insurance products associated with the removals process

Understanding and explaining Customs requirements

Preparing and submitting quotations

Arranging payments via our Finance team

Dealing with any issues or complaints which arise during the client's removal

Overseeing all shipments within the agreed contractual parameters

Maintaining and building strong relationships with our shipping agents and suppliers

Ensuring all activities are processed in accordance with ISO9001 standards.

Ensuring that all customers are satisfied with the service they receive, and seeking positive reviews

Key Skills required include:

Strong communication skills as well as the ability to work effectively as a team leader

A demonstrable ability to work well under pressure, to cost and time constraints

Excellent organisational skills organised

An ability to effectively arrange a client removal with other departments

Good multi-tasking skills

Be a capable problem solver

It literacy and proficiency, including Microsoft Office and any other software related to the Removals industry

Expected earnings, including commission will be in the range of 50,000 - 70,000 p.a.
