We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent role of Moving Traffic Enforcement Officer, to join Southampton City Council (SCC) in the Moving Traffic Enforcement Team.
About the Role:
This is a great opportunity to be part of the growing Moving Traffic Enforcement team to help support Highway safety and air quality around the City of Southampton. The role will also assist with the enforcement of moving traffic regulations, ensuring the efficient processing of contravention alerts, and supporting the administration of permits in line with established policies and procedures.
Some of your other duties will include:
Supporting the service and relevant teams across Southampton City Council to ensure statutory and best practice outcomes are achieved in relation to all aspects of administration in relation to Moving Traffic Enforcement.
Being knowledgeable in all software used for administering the Moving traffic enforcement workload, including production of instructions and supporting those teams using the software across the Council.
To provide excellent internal and external customer service across a range of channels (telephone, face to face and digital), ensuring that customer experiences are easy, effective and convenient.

The successful candidate will need to have:
A Levels (or similar) education in relevant subjects, or equivalent experience.
Highly skilled and confident with a range of different IT systems. Very experienced with Microsoft systems, specifically Excel.
Experience of dealing with a range of complex /contentious issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Substantial experience of working in a complex and constantly changing work environment.
It would also be desirable if you had:
Knowledge of Moving traffic enforcement regulations and processes.
Basic understanding of duties undertaken by a Highway Authority.

The salary band for this role is 32,061 - 36,362. The
starting salary is 32,061
with annual progression through the salary bands.
