Train Driver

to join our dedicated team at the Tonbridge depot.



In this key position within our

Multi-Purpose Vehicle & Module Operation

unit, you'll be at the heart of delivering essential shifts for Network Rail. Your mission? To ensure the safe and efficient driving and control of our Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV), supporting critical operations across the network.

A flexible, can-do attitude - you'll work to a roster that includes nights, weekends, and bank holidays. The ability to adapt quickly to short-notice changes and keep things running smoothly.

What you'll be doing



Responsible for the safe driving and control of a Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV). Delivering the relevant equipment to the Network Rail infrastructure in order to ensure full operational delivery. Reports directly to MPV Operations Manager. Work in accordance with safety and standards procedures. Conduct all pre-start and disposal safety checks using appropriate check lists. Carry out minor maintenance and repairs. Report all service faults and failures immediately both in writing and verbally. Liaise with our 24/7 control with regards to delivery related issues. Making a positive contribution to a small dedicated team working on high profile contracts.


Who we're looking for

The following experience/qualifications are essential:




Qualified Train Driver with a good safety record and holding route knowledge on the infrastructure. Hold a current clean UK driving licence An understanding of core asset modules. An appreciation of the importance of good customer relations. Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

The following experience/qualifications are desirable:




Complete and in-date route knowledge of the infrastructure. Have a good awareness of railway health and safety requirements, particularly as they relate to train operations. Qualified Train Driver, as above, with previous yellow plant experience. Computer Literate
