Salary - NJC 3 -5 pro rata + SEN allowance (Actual Salary 20,981 - 21,647pa + SEN allowance)

Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled MSI Intervenor Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated staff team. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference to this child who is deaf blind

About the Role

As an MSI Intervenor, you will provide one-to-one support and guidance, helping this pupil access learning, develop communication, and build independence. You will work closely with the class teacher and therapists to adapt lessons, create tactile and sensory resources, and ensure the pupil is active, confident and participates in their world, using a variety of skills, technology and intervention.

About You

You will hold a

Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification and at least 3 years post qualification experience.

You will be caring, patient, and creative, with experience of supporting children who are deaf blind. You will be eager to learn specialist skills such as tactile communication, signing, and sensory access strategies. Training and ongoing professional development will, include Intervenor training (NatSIP accredited) as an expected part of the role and may be required to be completed outside of working hours. You will have support from the QTMSI, here at RSB.
