Summary of role

We are currently looking for an experienced Multi axis Setter/Operator to join our increasing team of highly skilled engineers. Our impressive growth plans accompanied by recent investments have created this very exciting opportunity.

The Family run business was established over 80 years ago and specialise in the manufacture of high precision, high quality components supplied direct to various sectors including Aerospace, automotive and oil and gas.

The candidate must be comfortable working to tight deadlines and complex customer specifications. You will be expected to perform all functions of the machine including setup, operation, and maintenance of our market leading Matsuura 5-axis production centres. In the role you will be expected to work with other members of the team to ensure that all work orders are completed on time and within our expected quality targets. You must be able to read and understand technical specifications, identify tooling, work holding methods and devices for producing the components whilst communicating with the team leader and managers when additional equipment is needed to fulfil the job. A "Right First Time" mentality must always be applied, and candidates will be responsible for working alongside our quality department to ensure parts conform and complete component traceability is maintained.

Essential Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role.

Set up, operate, and maintain 3/5-axis mills

Set up and operate precision measuring instruments

Disciplined approach to manufacturing and component quality.

Enthusiastic approach to learning.

Be able to work without close supervision.

Energetic and dynamic individual with "can do" attitude.

Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.

Preferred:

Previous experience operating CNC machines.

A broad understanding of metallic materials

Experience on Fanuc operating systems

Edgecam knowledge or similar CAM system

Duration:

Permanent with a 6-month probation period.

Contracted Hours:

8am-5pm Monday - Thursday and 8am -1pm Friday

Salary:

Negotiable, dependant on skills and experience.

Overtime:

Available with premium rate.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: 24,420.00-39,693.90 per year
