Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to various locations. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service.

Duties

Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Load and unload goods, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policy. Assist in warehouse duties when necessary, including inventory management and organisation of goods. Handle heavy lifting tasks as required during loading and unloading processes.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record. Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver is preferred. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently. Familiarity with warehouse operations is an advantage. A commitment to safety practices and attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
