Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans or lorries, to deliver parcels to various locations within the assigned area Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and minimise delays Load and unload goods, often involving heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly during transit Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from recipients and handle any necessary documentation accurately Communicate proactively with dispatch or clients regarding delivery status or any unforeseen issues Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle at all times Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices

Skills

Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly desirable Valid driver's licence, preferably with experience in commercial driving or operating larger vehicles such as lorries or vans Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members Experience working in warehouse environments or handling heavy lifting is advantageous Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and punctuality Good knowledge of local roads and navigation tools to optimise delivery routes
