We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires excellent communication skills , a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle heavy lifting.
We cover the whole of the SN postcode as well as RG17, RG26, RG28, GL5, GL6, GL8 and GL9
OWN VAN IS ESSENTIAL.
Duties
Safely operate your delivery vehicle,, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, with care to prevent damage or injury.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs.
Requirements
Own van is essential for this role as its a self employed role paid weekly a week in arrears.
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving procedures.
Valid driver's licence with appropriate categories.
Experience with warehouse operations and handling heavy loads is desirable.
Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting and prolonged periods of driving or standing.
Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and service quality.
