Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans or lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Deliver goods to customers or clients across designated routes within the scheduled timeframe. Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, with care to prevent damage or injury. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain customer signatures upon completion of each delivery. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or any unforeseen delays. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices. Valid driver's licence, preferably with a clean driving record and relevant endorsements for heavy vehicles if applicable. Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and handle bulky items safely. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact courteously with customers and team members. Organised, punctual, and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
