Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Plan and follow optimal delivery routes to ensure punctuality Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, with attention to safety procedures Verify delivery orders and obtain signatures upon receipt from customers or clients Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status or issues Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly Assist with warehouse duties as required, including stock organisation and inventory checks

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within logistics or warehousing environments Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving, with a clean driving record Experience operating heavy vehicles such as lorries or vans Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes Familiarity with route planning software or GPS systems is advantageous Previous experience in warehouse operations or logistics is desirable but not essential
