Job Description

We are a nationwide fine food distributor, delivering a wide range of products to our customers throughout the UK. Customer service is at the heart of our business and ensuring our customers are provided with the best possible service by all in the business. Our customers tend to be farm shops, delicatessen, butcheries and garden centres.

This role will be based in our Bristol depot and involves undertaking deliveries and collections throughout South West England in our 3.5T vans. As this is a new depot, the ideal candidate should show flexibility and initiative to help with the set-up and ensuring the correct standards are adhered to from the start.

Normal working hours are spread over 4 days -

Tuesday to Friday. Hours of work average around 10 hours per day, due to the distance involved travelling to multiple customers, these may be longer. Start time between 0500 - 05:30 until finish. The perfect candidate for this role will be someone who enjoys long distance driving and has great attention to detail along with excellent customer service. Experience in multi-drop is required. You will turn up to site each morning, collect your vehicle, do your vehicle checks and load the van with your deliveries for the day. On the return, you will unload your van with any collections made throughout your day, storing in the correct place then parking up the vehicle on site.

This site will be an unmanned site and each driver will be responsible for their own workload and ensuring our vehicles are kept safe and road worthy at all times. Using our support Network in HQ we will assist the drivers in their day to day delivering to our customers.

This role entails low volume and high mileage deliveries of around 200-250 miles per day and up to around 25 deliveries.

Previous Forklift Experience is desirable and current certificate. If out of date we would be happy to refresh for the right candidate.
