Main Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:
Delivering to: Bristol Region, all goods by van or 3.5t drop side truck (HGV not required) safely and efficiently.
Driver tasks

Always apply a "Can Do Positive Attitude". Be a good self-motivated flexible team player, work alongside and support your work colleagues, follow and obey instructions from management.
To follow the organised pre-planned route and maintain delivery schedule and drop times in accordance with instructions and satellite navigation system. Where necessary call customers on a next drop basis to advise of ETA.
To check load items, security and all necessary equipment, Paperwork and fuel cards are on board prior to leaving the depot for the day's journey.
To check the vehicle in accordance with the drivers daily check sheet and to take action as required before departure, escalate to management if necessary.
To unload goods at the customer's premises safely, efficiently and always in a considerate and polite fashion taking into account the care and attention for the general public at all times.
To adhere to transport legislation in accordance to the rules in place.
To be aware of the legal load capacity of the vehicle to be driven.
To be aware of and how to follow the company procedure and vehicle policy including vehicle breakdowns.
Promote the company ethos, provide a friendly responsive, reliable service. Engage with customer needs and be helpful upon each delivery drop.
Understand you are representing Kernow Fixings in all duties performed and that your conduct will be a lasting reflection of the service received from us.
You will also be responsible for and measured by the following criteria:
Obtaining signatures for consignments delivered on account.
Being aware of and completing as necessary all company required documentation.
On return, removing all personal possessions and rubbish (cans/bottles etc) off the vehicle in addition to the once a week full vehicle clean.
Ensuring the vehicle is returned with a full tank of fuel.
Supervisor tasks
Take ownership of the depot.
Ensure other drivers carry out vehicle checks.
Oversee loading of deliveries on a daily basis, report daily issues to head office
Ensure Depot is kept clean & tidy at all times.
Making management aware of all vehicle defects and maintenance requirements as soon as possible via drivers daily check sheet. Helping to keep our delivery fleet clean and in good working order at all times.
Assist and support other team members as necessary or directed.
Be co-operative, respond to and follow instructions, embracing any other reasonable duties as allocated/instructed by the Operations Team Leader, Operations Manager or Company Directors.

FLT Counter Balance and Reach Licence desirable but not essential.

Good IT skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, Office 365, ERP Systems or higher role dependant.
Qualifications - GCSE/AS/A Level or higher role dependant.
