Requirements:

Must have your own

fully insured van

(Minimum size:

Medium Van - L1H1

) Previous delivery/multi-drop experience preferred but not essential Good level of physical fitness - parcels may vary in size and weight Punctual, reliable, and customer-focused

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to drive various vehicles, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service.

Duties

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and heavy lifting as required. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organisation of goods.

Qualifications

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred. Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required during loading and unloading processes. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Familiarity with local roads and routes is beneficial. A proactive attitude towards safety and compliance with health regulations is essential.
