The opportunity is to begin your logistics journey as a Luton van driver but the sky being the limit is truly what could happen for the right person.

The role to begin with is for a van driver, delivering and collecting pallets, then after the initial 12-week probationary period you would begin the training to become a class 2 HGV Driver and even going the extra mile after 12 months on from passing the class 2 and moving on to HGV class 1 training.

This role will involve some manual handling work will be required during the working day, so having good physical stamina is key for the role.

Hours of work - Start time between 08:00 & 10:00

Salary - To be agreed

Bonus - To be agreed

Duties

Safely operate a delivery van or lorry to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload items, ensuring that all products are handled with care. Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any discrepancies in orders. Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any maintenance needs promptly. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or Van Driver is preferred. Strong communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues effectively. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety protocols. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physically demanding tasks. Experience in warehouse operations is an advantage. A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle being operated is essential.
