We are a leading independent wholesaler of fine foods. A family business supplying a wide range of fine foods to discerning retailers for over 50 years.

We are a growing fine food wholesaler distributor business looking to recruit a new team member in our busy Doncaster depot. You will be reporting directly to the Transport Manager.

The Job

A multidrop delivery job that doesn't require 100 drops a day, getting stuck in traffic, and facing constant pressure!

Our drivers typically do 15-25 drops a day, much of which is out of town, delivering to a range of independent retailers, farm shops. You will often get a friendly reception from loyal customers who rely on Holleys to keep them stocked up. Covering areas across Northern England and Wales, you will gets lots of variation, and visit some beautiful places (we do cover bigger towns & cities too).

We provide the van, any equipment required.

Major Responsibilities:

Driving safely and efficiently

Delivering orders to customers.

Checking deliveries to ensure they are correct

. Confirming deliveries on our handheld PDA computers,

Liaising with Customers and satisfying their expectations for Delivery

Reporting any incidents or personal changes which impact on driving or delivery.

Carrying out daily vehicle checks as specified and ensure any damages and defects are reported to the Transport Manager.

. Ensure the Vehicle is kept clean and tidy, washing as required.

Taking all reasonable care of own safety and others including following all safe systems of work and safety instructions and using personal protection equipment as required

Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.

Specifications / Skills:

Essential:

Ability to drive and operate a delivery van safely and responsibly.

Excellent team player

.Willing/able to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the business

Experience of multi-drop deliveries on 3.5 T van

. Able to adhere to the pre planned delivery schedule

. Experience of dealing with customers

Desire to work and positive attitude

Valid Driving License (Maximum 4 points)

Good level of English

Reliable

In good health, able to cope with the requirements of a multidrop delivery job.

Desirable:

Experience in busy operational environment

Experience of working to deadlines

Ideally worked as a multi drop van driver, driving a 3.5ton van.

Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and best practices

Understanding of health & safety in the workplace

Friendly and professional manner when dealing with customers.

Job Type: Full-time, Tuesday to Friday. Flexible start times, depending on the day & route, but typically 06:00-07:00
