Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong organisational abilities, and a commitment to customer service. Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans or lorries, to deliver goods to clients and distribution centres. Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and meet delivery deadlines. Load and unload items, sometimes requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly during transit. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery. Communicate with dispatch or customers regarding delivery times or any unforeseen delays. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Follow all traffic laws and health & safety regulations at all times. Assist with warehouse tasks when required, including stock organisation and inventory checks.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a valid driver's licence. Experience with commercial driving and knowledge of traffic laws relevant to heavy vehicles. Familiarity with warehouse procedures and handling heavy lifting safely. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with customers and team members. Strong organisational skills for route planning and time management. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high safety standards. Physical fitness for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of driving or standing. This role is ideal for candidates who are organised, dependable, and committed to delivering excellent service while prioritising safety at all times. ability to use mobile apps and delivery software.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.71-13.00 per hour
