Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicle such as a van, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption. Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled with care and secured properly during transit. Deliver products to customers or clients in a professional, courteous manner. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain signatures upon completion of each delivery. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or delays. Assist with warehouse duties, including heavy lifting of goods when necessary, maintaining organisation within the storage area.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within commercial driving environments. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record. Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when handling deliveries. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members. Strong organisational skills to plan routes effectively and manage schedules. Good organisational skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities on the road.
