Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting chilled goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.

Duties

Operate delivery vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and safety standards. Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary. Navigate routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and any issues encountered during transit. Communicate with warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules and any changes. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability. Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organisation of stock.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred but not essential. Strong commercial driving skills with a valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is advantageous. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members effectively. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently while adhering to delivery schedules.
This role is only 10 hours per week, we need someone to deliver our chilled goods on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday, times can be arranged but ideally between 11.00am and 14.00pm these days per week.
