Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers. This role requires a strong understanding of driving regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed. Previous experience in delivery driving or commercial driving is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and care during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any discrepancies. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Assist in warehouse duties as required, including inventory management and organisation. Assist in the delivery and assembly of office furniture

Qualifications

Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred. Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience operating a commercial vehicle is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. Experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous but not essential. A commitment to safety and attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
