Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to handle heavy lifting, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through timely deliveries.

Duties

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and other commercial vehicles, to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and care of all products during transit. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of goods.

Experience

Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is advantageous. A valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving is required. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physically demanding tasks throughout the workday. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
