We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Multi Drop Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations within the Wirral area ensuring timely and safe delivery while maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to manage heavy lifting as part of the delivery process.
Responsibilities
Efficient Route Planning:
Organise and plan delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
Loading and Unloading Parcels:
Load delivery vehicle with parcels in a secure and systematic manner.
Unload goods safely at each delivery point.
Timely Deliveries:
Deliver parcels to multiple addresses daily, ensuring deadlines are met.
Customer Service:
Provide professional and courteous service to all customers.
Obtain signatures and confirm receipt of goods as required.
Vehicle Checks and Maintenance:
Perform daily vehicle safety checks and report any issues.
Ensure the vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and well-maintained.
Compliance and Safety:
Follow all road safety laws and company delivery procedures.
Comply with health and safety regulations at all times.
Documentation and Reporting:
Complete delivery paperwork or use electronic devices to track deliveries.
Report any delivery issues, such as failed deliveries or damaged items.
Problem Solving:
Resolve basic delivery problems on the spot, such as locating hard-to-find addresses or handling incorrect deliveries.
Communication:
Maintain regular communication with the depot, supervisor, or dispatch team regarding progress and any issues.
Handling Returns:
Collect any returns or undeliverable items and report them accordingly.
Experience
Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred although not essential as training will be provided.
A valid driving licence with a clean driving record is essential.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physically demanding tasks is required.
Strong communication skills are necessary for interacting with customers and team members effectively.
Must have a clear basic DBS check and be willing to provide prior to starting.
