Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling. Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and meet scheduled delivery times. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any unforeseen delays. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly. Assist with warehouse duties when required, including stock organisation and inventory management.

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within commercial driving or warehouse environments. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record. Experience with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks. Strong organisational skills to plan routes effectively. Excellent communication skills to liaise professionally with customers and team members. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations relevant to commercial driving. Prior experience in warehouse operations is desirable but not essential. This position is ideal for individuals who are organised, dependable, and possess excellent driving skills, committed to providing outstanding service while maintaining safety standards at all times.
