Job purpose
As a Multi-Drop Delivery Driver in our meat wholesale business, you will play a crucial role in the timely and efficient delivery of meat products to our customers. Operating a multi-drop delivery vehicle, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and safe transportation of goods while providing exceptional customer service. Your role is essential in maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting the overall operations of our business.
Working hours
42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Duties
Operating company vehicles safely and efficiently.
Ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of assigned vehicles.
Assisting the warehouse team as needed.
Completing relevant documentation, such as vehicle maintenance sheets and temperature record forms.
Assisting with loading and unloading of vehicles.
Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of work uniform.
Reporting any site issues promptly.
Adhering to basic health and safety standards, including proper lifting techniques, and wearing appropriate PPE.
Keeping the vehicle equipment shed organised.
Performing daily litter checks within the vehicle cab.
Ensuring empty pallets are not left in the vehicle overnight.
Plugging in the vehicle when loaded the previous day.
Completing training in a timely manner, as required.
Adhering to company policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
Willingness to work with all different types of stock, in temperature-controlled areas
Pick customer orders from the order sheet when required to help the Warehouse team
Wrap and load pallets securely and safely using the space to reduce damage in transit.
Good attention to detail when working quickly
Receive returned items from customers, completing necessary documentation as required
Manual handling - lifting or moving products as required
Physical requirements - pushing and pulling the trolley to carry items
Self-motivation to work hard and do everything to the best of your ability
Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 3 penalty points
Excellent customer service skills
Preferably previous multi-drop experience but training can be given to someone with the right attitudes and behaviours
