We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, to deliver goods to clients and distribution centres. Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and meet scheduled deadlines. Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly during transit. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery. Communicate clearly with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery times, delays, or issues. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met. Follow all road safety regulations and company policies during daily operations. Assist with warehouse tasks when required, including organising stock and preparing orders for dispatch.

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role is preferred. Valid driver's licence suitable for the vehicle type being operated, with a clean driving record. Experience in warehouse environments or handling heavy lifting is advantageous. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members. Familiarity with route planning software or GPS devices is beneficial. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing schedules or routes.
