We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, to deliver goods to clients/stores. Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while optimising fuel efficiency. Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring proper handling and securement of goods. Checking the order to ensure all items are there in store. Communicate clearly with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies. Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety standards, and company procedures during all driving activities.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record. Experience with warehouse operations and heavy lifting tasks is desirable. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients. Knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations within the area. Ability to work independently, demonstrating organisational skills and punctuality. Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting and long periods of driving.
