Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and effective communication.

Duties

Operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure roadworthiness. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Adhere to all traffic regulations and company policies while on the road. Assist with heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes. Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as needed.

Experience

Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous. A valid commercial driving licence is essential for this position. Strong communication skills are necessary for liaising with team members and customers. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently is required.
