Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans, to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure roadworthiness. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and regulations. Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and delivery confirmations.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is advantageous. Strong driving skills with a valid driver's licence; experience with commercial driving is preferred. Ability to lift heavy packages and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods. Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently while meeting deadlines.
