Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivery driving and possess strong communication skills. This role involves transporting goods efficiently while ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to safety regulations.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to various locations. Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Collaborate with the warehouse team to assist in inventory management as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is essential. A valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving is required. Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, particularly in handling logistics. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members. A commitment to safety practices while driving and handling goods is crucial.
