Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and stock organisation.

Skills

Previous delivery driver experience is essential, with a valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type. Experience in commercial driving is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods. Familiarity with warehouse operations will be an advantage. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record are required.
