Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller & Turner to join our dynamic team at Millitec. In this role, you will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce precision components that meet our high standards of quality and innovation. Your contributions will play a vital role in enhancing our automation solutions for the food production sector.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate 3-axis and 4-axis vertical CNC milling machines including Haas ST-10, ST-30, and Doosan Puma 300L, for precision component production.
Ensure optimal machine performance, part accuracy, and adherence to production specifications.
Ensure machines run efficiently with optimized settings for accuracy, surface finish, and cycle time.
Perform first-off and in-process inspections using a variety of precision metrology equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.).
Self-inspect machined parts to confirm they meet specified tolerances and quality standards before routing to stores.
Collaborate closely with team members to achieve daily production targets and meet delivery deadlines.
Conduct routine machine maintenance and ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support efficient manufacturing processes.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in CNC milling machine setup and operation.
Demonstrated expertise in setting and operating 3-axis and 4-axis milling machines.
Strong working knowledge of Haas CNC controls
Proven capability with Haas ST series lathes and Doosan Puma 300L machines.
Proficient in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Skilled in the use of inspection tools and interpreting dimensional data and tolerances
Solid understanding of tooling selection and workholding methods for precision CNC milling.
Proficient in G-code and M-code: able to read, modify, and troubleshoot CNC programs manually.
Confident in reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings, including GD&T.
Experienced in using a range of inspection and measurement tools to validate dimensional accuracy.
Strong knowledge of turning tools, inserts, and workholding techniques suitable for close-tolerance lathe work.
