We have a great opportunity based at City College Peterborough for a Multi Skilled Construction Tutor to become a key member of our Study Skills department.
Due to a growth in the Study Skills provision, we are seeking a confident and motivated tutor that can help and support learners to develop their Construction qualifications along with supporting with English and Maths.
You will work with other tutors to raise the learning and attainment of young people, while promoting their social inclusion, self-esteem and independence. You will support students in the Uniformed Services and Construction vocational areas of the college and ensure all students are provided with the most appropriate level of support to assist them to access the curriculum, participate in learning and fulfil their potential.
You will need to be able to use your own initiative while support of learners, dealing with situations with tact and empathy. The need to be flexible in your approach is imperative. You will need to be qualified to GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths and ideally have experience of working with people with SEND.
At City College Peterborough we have a whole organisation approach to Maths and English provision based upon our commitment to improve the skills of learners by supporting them to achieve GCSE or Functional Skills qualifications.
This opportunity would suit either experienced lecturers or graduates with a willingness to undertake the appropriate development.
