2gether Support Solutions is a Facilities and Estates services company providing support to healthcare professionals caring for over 2000 patients daily across multiple East Kent hospital sites. 2gether provides vital services including maintenance, cleaning, catering, procurement, logistics and much more.



We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our Estates team.

About the Role




You'll help ensure the continuous operation of essential hospital services, delivering complex maintenance and compliance activities across a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems. This is a hands-on, technical role where you'll use your expertise to maintain safety, reliability, and compliance across critical assets while contributing to the smooth running of healthcare services.


Key responsibilities:

Diagnose, resolve, and lead repairs on complex M&E systems, including HVAC, boilers, medical gas, BMS, and emergency lighting. Oversee multi-disciplinary system shutdowns and infrastructure refurbishments. Carry out technical assessments and installations of new or upgraded systems. Provide expert guidance on statutory and regulatory compliance (HTMs, SFG20). Prepare and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to maintain safe working practices. Support incident investigations and technical reporting. Flexibility required for occasional overtime and shift work to support operational needs.

About You




You will be a highly motivated professional with excellent technical knowledge, able to troubleshoot complex systems and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues, contractors, and external stakeholders.

HNC/HND or equivalent in a mechanical or electrical discipline Extensive experience in complex M&E environments, ideally within healthcare or critical service sectors Strong problem-solving, fault-finding, and decision-making skills The ability to work independently while providing support and collaboration to colleagues. Flexibility to work on a rotating shift system and travel across sites (full driving licence required) Awareness of compliance requirements (HTMs, SFG20) and Health & Safety standards Familiarity with CAFM systems and digital diagnostics.


This role operates on a rotating shift pattern 8am - 4pm & 2pm - 10pm and includes participation in an on-call rota to support 24/7 service delivery.
