Job Description

We're looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our Planned Repairs Team on a full-time, permanent basis. We'd love to hear from you if carpentry is your main trade, as most of your work will focus on kitchen refits. You'll be based in Swansea, mainly working on planned maintenance. Skills in plumbing or other trades would be a bonus, as you'll sometimes help with reactive repairs and voids. If you're a qualified carpenter or have strong experience and take pride in doing a great job, get in touch.

Time off and Flexibility

Our Pobl Repairs Team covers areas between Haverfordwest and Monmouthshire, with our office base for this role being Swansea. Working days are predominately Monday to Friday days or you can work compressed hours on a 9 day fortnight. 26 days holiday, plus Bank holidays. Rising to 31 days with an extra day for each full year of service Maternity & Adoption Leave: 20 weeks Paternity Leave: 3 weeks

Money and Pensions

The salary is 32,512 for a 40 hour full time permanent position Pension Choices: Defined Contribution (DC) Scheme with matched contributions up to 10%. Or, Defined Benefit (DB) 1/80 th of final salary for every year of service. What skills and experience do you need?

City & Guilds or NVQ (or equivalent) in carpentry (or significant experience) Practical experience in carpentry, ideally in domestic settings Confidence working in people's homes with a professional, courteous approach Willingness to support other trades (e.g., basic plumbing, plastering, brickwork) Flexible, positive attitude and strong commitment to health and safety Full UK driving licence
Bonus if you've worked in social housing or used mobile working systems - but not essential.
