to join our high-performance engineering team within a leading blow moulding manufacturing facility in Glasgow. This is a key role supporting site performance, reliability, and continuous improvement across a fast-paced production environment.
You will be responsible for delivering effective maintenance, fault-finding, and engineering support across both mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Provide planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across production machinery, including blow moulding equipment, conveyors, pneumatics, and ancillary systems.
Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults quickly and safely.
Support engineering projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and equipment upgrades.
Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures, engineering standards, and company policies.
Work closely with the Engineering Manager and production teams to minimise downtime and optimise plant performance.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to engineering KPIs.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer in a manufacturing environment (blow moulding, plastics, packaging, or FMCG experience highly desirable).
. Creating, maintaining and updating Standard Operating Procedures ( SOP)
Strong mechanical and electrical competency, ideally holding a recognised engineering qualification (HNC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
Competent in fault-finding, diagnostics, and use of maintenance tools and systems.
Good understanding of PLCs, automation and pneumatics.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
