Shepley Spring are the UK's leading bottled water manufacturer with over 20 years' experience in production and are proud to remain a family run business to this day.

The company operates in three manufacturing facilities in Yorkshire and owns several high-speed production lines with the capabilities of producing both still and sparkling water servicing leading retailers such as Morrisons, Costco, Booker Tesco and Iceland through private label and produces the brands Ice Valley and White Rock exclusively.

Following a period of impressive growth, the business are looking to strengthen their Engineering offering to support further expansion and development plans and seeking an experienced Multi-skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join their already established team.

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing various mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic systems within our facilities. This role requires a broad range of technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to maintenance, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Job Specification:

Perform routine maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic systems to ensure their optimal functioning. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns promptly, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Conduct inspections and tests on machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and prevent failures. Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty components or parts using appropriate tools and techniques. Calibrate and adjust equipment to maintain accuracy and efficiency. Install new equipment and machinery as needed, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety standards. Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize downtime. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment histories. Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to continuously improve skills and knowledge. Adhere to safety regulations and procedures at all times, promoting a culture of safety within the organisation.

Competencies:

Proven experience as a multi-skilled engineer or similar role, with expertise in both mechanical and electrical systems preferred. Previous experience working within a Manufacturing and Production environment Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, with a systematic approach to troubleshooting Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools for maintenance and repair tasks. Knowledge of PLCs, control systems, and other relevant technologies is desirable. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Flexibility to work outside regular hours and respond to emergencies as needed.

Working Hours:

12 hour shift pattern (08:00-20:00) - 4 on / 4 off rotation

Pay: 45,000.00-55,000.00 per year
