We are looking for

We are seeking a Multi skilled Engineer to work within our engineering team looking after our new state of the art onion packhouse. Both dealing with breakdowns but also working on our PPM schedule to reduce downtime and improve performance within the factory.

The position

As part of our engineering team working on a 4 on 4 off Days you will:

Work alongside Managers, Supervisors,, to maximise equipment efficiency and reduce downtime onsite. Carry out regular planned preventative maintenance across the site. Respond to breakdowns, minimising disruption to production and looking at route cause of the failure. Recommend solutions further to reduce downtime within the factory and ensure tasks can be completed as efficiently as possible. Identify and implement improvements in machine performance working with suppliers and manufactures to ensure machines are performing to the required standards. Complete maintenance, servicing, and general engineering tasks, escalating issues where necessary Safely carry out electrical maintenance and escalate any issues as required.

Person Specification

We are looking for someone who has:

Proven experience as a mechanical and electrical engineer. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. The ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in the food manufacturing industry (desirable). A self-motivated, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach. Flexibility and resilience to adapt to changing priorities.
Pay will be competitive and will be dependant on experience.
