Multi-Skilled Laundry Engineer
to keep our plant running at peak performance.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive engineer with strong
electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic
capabilities who enjoys problem-solving, improving systems and making a meaningful impact in a fast paced production environment.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Multi-Skilled Laundry Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our equipment, facilities, and overall site performance. Your responsibilities will include:
Maintenance & Repairs
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of laundry machinery and building systems.
Diagnosing faults and responding promptly to breakdowns across
electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic
systems.
Completing safe, efficient repairs and ensuring equipment is returned to operation quickly.
Enhancing equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency through continuous improvement and optimisation.
Operational Support & Improvements
Collaborating with production teams to reduce downtime and maintain consistent output.
Supporting engineering projects, equipment upgrades and long term site improvements.
Providing technical insights to refine maintenance schedules and prevent recurring issues.
Using our PPM & AI software
Safety, Compliance & Documentation
Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
Reporting equipment risks, failures, incidents and near misses to the Engineering Manager.
Monitoring contractors and ensuring compliance with site rules and standards.
Maintaining excellent housekeeping and adherence to engineering best practices.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an engineer with strong technical experience and a positive, proactive attitude. Ideal candidates will have:
Proven experience in a maintenance, manufacturing, engineering or production-support role.
Hands-on proficiency in
electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic
diagnostics and repair.
NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) or a recognised apprenticeship (preferred).
Ability to read and interpret engineering and electrical schematics.
Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Good communication skills and high attention to detail.
Right to work in the UK.
