Job Summary:



We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analysing, and improving complex systems across various engineering disciplines. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects involving system design, electrical and mechanical engineering, and advanced simulation tools. The ideal applicant will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem solving abilities, and experience with a wide range of engineering software and hardware components.

Duties Include:



Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults on manufacturing equipment; performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.

Supporting daily operations alongside the Engineering Manager, Shift Managers, and Production Director. Conducting routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to minimise downtime and optimise equipment performance. Providing hands-on mechanical and electrical support, mentoring colleagues where possible. Ensuring safety standards through regular inspections, documentation, and adherence to best practices. Managing critical spares, tooling, and maintenance supplies; raising purchase orders for key parts. Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new machinery and upgrades. Contributing to continuous improvement projects to enhance machinery efficiency and reliability. Supporting troubleshooting and root cause analysis efforts. Potentially mentoring NVQ initiatives in 2026/2027.

Candidate Profile:



Experienced in fault-finding on industrial machinery with a good mechanical awareness. Hands-on, proactive, and a strong team player with effective communication skills. Capable of working under pressure and adapting to shifting priorities. Prior experience in manufacturing or steel processing (highly desirable) Knowledge of safety regulations and relevant technical certifications (highly desirable) Experience and knowledge of roll forming (highly desirable) Mechanical and Electrical background preferred.
