Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the day to day running of our new plant, maintaining machinery, designing and implementing engineering solutions that meet project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects while collaborating with a team of professionals dedicated to excellence in engineering.

We operate a shift rotation so this position would be

1 week days 05.00 - 15.00 Mon - Fri

1 week nights 15.00 - 23.00 Mon - Fri (Premium rate paid for nights)

With alternate working on Saturdays

Duties

Undertake planned preventative maintenance working in collaboration with the wider team. Identify problem areas or potential for improvement to current process. Design and develop engineering solutions based on project requirements and specifications. Liaise with contractors and subcontractors. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to ensure project viability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions. Troubleshoot engineering issues and implement effective solutions. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Respond promptly to any reported faults or breakdowns. This position would suit someone with a hands on team focused approach.

Skills

Desired skills Mechanical engineering. Electrical installation/fault finding. Testing and inspection. Wiring regulations 18th Edition. Plc fault finding hugely advantageous. Welding, fabrication and pneumatics proficient. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality assurance. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
