We are seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer with a strong gas bias to join our technical team.
In this role, you will deliver high-quality maintenance and repair services across a range of client properties, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of commercial gas, heating, and HVAC systems.
Your work will help maintain compliance with industry standards and support the overall performance of building services.
As part of our commitment to excellence, you will handle both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, diagnose and resolve faults, and carry out installations.
You will also liaise with clients, manage contractors, and ensure all work meets strict health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works on commercial gas, heating, and HVAC systems.
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs, including basic electrical fault finding.
Undertake new installations and major or minor repair works on gas/heating systems.
Maintain plant rooms and ensure equipment meets safety and performance standards.
Manage contractors, monitor workmanship, and issue permits to work.
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, risk assessments, and COSHH requirements.
Accurately complete documentation, compliance records, and administrative tasks.
Participate in the callout rota and provide professional client liaison to ensure satisfaction.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Commercial Gas Qualifications: COCN1 or CODNC1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CORT1, CIGA1.
Domestic Gas Qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT1, CPA1.
City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, or related mechanical discipline.
Gas Safe Registered, with IPAF/PASMA certification and a full UK driving licence.
Significant experience in commercial gas, heating, and combustion maintenance, including fault finding and installations.
Familiarity with FM or building services environments and strict health & safety procedures.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage high-risk works.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
