Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry and joinery, with a strong focus on fabrication and assembly. This role involves working on various projects, including roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical installations, and construction painting. Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble timber components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised joinery equipment Read and interpret technical drawings and plans to execute precise cuts and fittings Install wooden structures such as flooring, roofing frameworks, partitions, and bespoke furniture Assist with masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and construction painting as required on site Perform heavy lifting of materials safely to ensure smooth workflow Maintain a clean and organised work area to uphold safety standards Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and to high standards Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes and safety regulations

Skills

Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, and joinery techniques Proficiency with hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers) and power tools (drills, saws) Strong understanding of roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical systems, and construction painting is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and regulations Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team Physical fitness suitable for demanding manual tasks in various weather conditions
