Location:

Mobile - Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea

Hours Per Week:

Monday - Friday, 40 Hours

Job Type:

Permanent / Full Time

The Multi Skilled Joiner will:
Work alongside existing/other members of the team Undertake a range Joinery Tasks, Fire Door Inspections, remedials and installation of new door sets on large and small commercial projects. Work to NFPA 80 standard from the National Fire Protection Association that governs the installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire doors. Ensure all works are completed efficiently to a high standard. Observe the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point of work risk assessments for every task to ensure the best possible working practices are adhered to. Update Site/Project Management/Helpdesk on Progress of works and request time extensions as required. Liaise closely with our control hub to ensure efficient response to all works, either working on your own or as part of a team. Provide detailed write-ups/PDA reports of works carried out to ensure that both the GFM & clients CAFM system is kept up to date at all times. Deal with a variety of Clients/Customers on a daily basis Keep accurate Time reports on all tasks completed.

About You



Essential Criteria





Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience preferably within the maintenance or construction industry

Full Driver's License

Certification: FDIS/QFDT or equivalent; recognized installer/inspector qualification

Technical Skills: Knowledge of fire door systems, hardware, materials; compliance standards

Competence Framework: SKEB alignment through formal competence schemes, Inspection & Reporting NFPA 80 compliance, defect identification, professional documentation

Soft Skills: Communication, attention to detail, problem-solving, continuous professional growth


Desirable Criteria





Carpentry & Joinery Expertise - Skilled in cutting, shaping, and assembling wood and timber structures.

Door installation - Ability to fit, repair, and maintain doors, frames, windows, and associated hardware.

Flooring & Partitioning - Competent in installing floors, partitions, and other structural elements.

Use of Power & Hand Tools - Proficient in safe and effective use of joinery tools and machinery.

Basic Plumbing & Electrical Awareness - Understanding of minor plumbing and electrical tasks to support multi-skilled role.

Reading Technical Drawings - Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and measurements accurately

CSCS card or other recognised Safety training

Recognised Health & Safety training

Licensed MEWP operator

Manual Handling training

Confined space training
